Hanwha Life Esports defeated T1 2–1 in Round 2 of the 2026 LCK at LoL Park’s LCK Arena in Jongno-gu, Seoul, on May 1. After dropping the Round 1 meeting with T1, Hanwha flipped the script in the Round 2 opener, extending their streak to eight straight wins and recording victories against all nine LCK teams.
After the match, Yoon told reporters, “We lost one set, but I’m really happy we came away with the win. There was something to learn from that set.” He praised the coaching staff and players, saying, “They executed the plan well. Picks like Ahri–Viego and Jarvan IV held up, and the initiations came at the right moments.”
He added, “There were still plenty of disappointing moments. I remember one player making a lot of big mistakes in the first set.”
Yoon also noted, “Our skill, execution, and composition balance were solid. Jin-hyeok did a good job reading the tempo.” He continued, “The players have worked hard and their form has improved. Given the differences between Korean and Chinese styles of play, the team opened lines of communication, discussed each other’s strengths, and put together a strong performance.”
Kim “Jeka” Geon-woo said, “We only lost to T1 in Round 1. I wanted us to win this time, so I’m glad we did.” He added, “In each of our winning sets we were at an early disadvantage, but Seo ‘Kanavi’ Jin-hyeok capitalized on the opponents’ mistakes and swung the games in our favor.”
