‘GumaYusi’ Lim Min-hyeong laughed when asked what’s behind his popularity in Vietnam.

Hanwha Life Esports held on for a 2-1 road win over Kiwoom DRX in Round 2 of the 2026 LCK regular season at Hanoi’s Exhibition Center (VEC) on the 10th. The victory extended Hanwha Life’s winning streak to 10 and moved their record to 11-1.

On the final day of the home-stand, the arena drew a packed crowd — roughly 12,000 seats sold out. With Vietnamese fans vocal throughout, Hanwha Life secured a hard-fought victory. Lim also hit a milestone, becoming the sixth LCK bot laner to reach 2,000 career kills.

After the match, Lim told reporters, “It wasn’t on purpose, but I think fans who expected a 3-0 sweep found the match entertaining. I wanted time to spend with the Vietnamese fans, and it was great to see so many of them in a venue this big.”

Lim’s pull in Vietnam was obvious. Organizers set up three booths dedicated to him, and fans queued for photos. As a gesture of thanks, Lim greeted the crowd wearing a traditional Vietnamese hat when he entered the arena.

“A fan gave me the hat at the airport,” he said. “They made it so nicely that I wore it right away.” He added, “I noticed the bus ads and billboards too, not just the booths. I’m really grateful.” Asked about the source of his popularity, he joked, “I think it’s because of my looks.”

‘Zeka’ Kim Gun-woo was the standout of the day, delivering the decisive plays — his Sylas in Game 3 was the highlight. He dominated the map and earned Player of the Match honors. “Fans always respond well when we come to Vietnam. It was my first time playing here, and it’s a great memory,” Kim said.

After Game 3, Kim made a DRX emblem gesture. When asked about it, he said, “There wasn’t any big meaning behind it,” but added, “DRX brings back good memories from 2022, so I use that gesture often.” Kim was part of DRX’s 2022 World Championship-winning squad.

Reflecting on the LCK’s ongoing home-match circuit, Kim said, “This is the first time Hanwha Life has acted as the home team during a home match. I see it as gradual growth. It would be fun if more teams staged home matches, and I’d love to see Hanwha Life host one too.”

All the players who traveled to Vietnam praised the fans. ‘Zeus’ Choi Woo-je said, “We picked up great energy from Vietnam. The fans’ hospitality made it fun.” ‘Khanabi’ Seo Jin-hyeok added, “The Vietnamese crowd was so intense it felt like Worlds. If the chance comes, I’d love to return.” ‘Delight’ Yoo Hwan-joong emphasized, “Every time we come to Vietnam, the fans welcome us warmly. We made some great memories here.”
