[Sports Today reporter Lee Sang-pil] The Lotte Giants held off the Doosan Bears in a back-and-forth affair.

Lotte beat Doosan 6-5 on May 15 at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul in the 2026 Shinhan SOL KBO League.

The win moved Lotte to ninth at 16-1-22. Doosan slipped to seventh at 18-1-22.

Lotte’s Ko Seung-min finished with three hits, one RBI and one run. Hwang Seong-bin added two hits and three runs, and Na Seung-yeop had two hits and two RBIs. Starter Kim Jin-wook lasted 4.1 innings and allowed four runs; Park Jeong-min worked 1.2 scoreless innings to pick up the victory.

Doosan starter Kwak Bin was charged with four runs (three earned) over five innings, and reliever Yang Jae-hoon took the loss after allowing a run in one inning. Park Ji-hoon chipped in with three hits and three RBIs, but Doosan came up short.

Lotte struck first in the top of the first. Hwang and Ko singled and Reyes walked to load the bases, and Na Seung-yeop’s sacrifice fly produced the game’s first run.

Doosan answered in the bottom of the first. Jung Soo-bin drew a walk and stole second, and with two outs Cameron delivered an RBI single to tie it at 1-1.

Lotte regained the lead in the third when Hwang’s hit and steal set up Reyes for an RBI single, making it 2-1.

Doosan responded in the fourth. Singles by Kang Seung-ho and Park Chan-ho, followed by a sacrifice bunt by Kim Ki-yeon, created first-and-one-out with runners on second and third, and Park Ji-hoon’s two-run single put Doosan ahead. Son Ah-seop added an RBI single to push the lead to 4-2.

In the fifth, with no outs and runners at first and third after a Hwang walk and a Ko single, a throwing error allowed a run and Na Seung-yeop’s RBI single evened the score at 4-4.

In the sixth, after two outs, Jang Du-seong doubled and Hwang drew a walk to put runners on first and second. Ko Seung-min’s RBI hit gave Lotte a 5-4 lead.

Doosan tied it in the bottom of the sixth when Park Chan-ho walked, stole second and Park Ji-hoon delivered an RBI single to make it 5-5.

In the seventh, Lotte loaded the bases on a walk to Na Seung-yeop, a hit by Jeon Min-jae and a walk to Yoo Kang-nam. An errant pitch produced a run and Lotte regained a 6-5 lead.

Lotte’s bullpen preserved the lead behind effective work from Park Jeong-min (1.2 innings), Kim Won-joong (0.1 innings) and Choi Jun-yong (1.2 innings). Doosan’s offense cooled in the late innings and never mounted a comeback. Lotte closed it out for a 6-5 victory.
