Trump also targeted Oman — which has discussed joint oversight of the Strait of Hormuz with Iran — warning that no one can control the strait and saying he could “blow them away.” In southern Iran, explosions were heard again three days after U.S. forces carried out a defensive airstrike. U.S. forces struck a merchant vessel they judged had threatened ships in the Strait of Hormuz and intercepted Iranian drones.
