[Sports Today reporter Kim Tae-hyung] ‘The Great Guide’ is coming back for season 3.

MBC Every1’s ‘The Great Guide’ is a travel-reality series in which foreign nationals who’ve lived in Korea for years become guides, taking travelers visiting their home countries to off-the-beaten-path spots known only to locals. Since its pilot in October 2023, it’s become one of MBC Every1’s signature, fan-favorite shows, earning steady love each season.

Last October’s special, ‘The Great Guide 2.5,’ received praise when Kim Dae-ho and Choi Daniel—who had appeared as travel mates—stepped up as guides, bringing fresh laughs and proving the show’s versatility.

Fans have been eagerly waiting for the show’s return, and on the 24th producers finally confirmed ‘The Great Guide 3,’ drawing excited attention.

For season 3, the cast reunited the crew whose chemistry was impossible to miss in earlier seasons. Leading the pack is veteran entertainer and eldest brother figure Park Myung-soo; Kim Dae-ho, who effortlessly shifts between entertainer and outdoorsman; Choi Daniel, whose wildly unexpected antics keep everyone laughing; and Lee Mu-jin, the smart, charming youngest member who wins over both his on-screen brothers and viewers. Just hearing the lineup promises plenty of laughs.

Producers also revealed Ethiopia as the ambitiously chosen first destination for ‘The Great Guide 3.’ Known as the birthplace of coffee and home to the most UNESCO World Heritage sites in Africa, Ethiopia offers breathtaking natural scenery, rich historical sites, and diverse cultures—making it one of Africa’s hidden gems. The show’s strategy of taking viewers to places most people can’t easily visit—and delivering a major vicarious thrill—is expected to hit home again.
