To mark the 2026 Year of Visiting Gyeongbuk, Gyeongsangbuk-do is launching a rail-linked tour package called ‘Fall for Gyeongbuk! 2026’ in April, in partnership with the Gyeongsangbuk-do Culture & Tourism Corporation and Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL).

The package is designed to make visitors fall for Gyeongbuk’s charms — and many regional tour products are being offered at half price.

The ‘Fall for Gyeongbuk!’ program goes beyond just covering transportation costs: travelers are asked to visit local attractions and verify those visits in order to receive benefits.

This offer applies to visitors who arrive by train from outside Gyeongbuk at any of the province’s 42 stations. You can purchase the package on KORAIL’s website (Train Travel → Travel Products → Gyeongsang Region) or via the KorailTalk app (Travel Products & Passes → Regional Travel Products → Gyeongsang Region). The program kicks off on April 1.

After your trip, verify your attraction visits on the Tour054 event page — Gyeongbuk’s integrated tourism platform — within three days of your boarding date. Once verified, you’ll receive discounts on one-way rail fares and discounted mobile vouchers redeemable at station shops.

Park Chan-woo, director of Culture, Tourism and Sports for Gyeongsangbuk-do, said, \”It’s important that the heightened interest in Gyeongbuk following the successful APEC summit turns into actual visits. Through ‘Fall for Gyeongbuk! 2026,’ we aim to create a tourism environment where anyone can visit and enjoy Gyeongbuk without financial worry.\”
