[Nonsan] The Nonsan Cultural Tourism Foundation, which operates Nonsan Hanok Village, is inviting locals and visitors to join its 2026 wellness experience series, ‘Rest in a Hanok.’

Built for travelers who want hands-on relaxation, the program leverages the unique layout and atmosphere of hanok houses to offer a calm, restorative escape. The foundation hopes these wellness experiences will expand Nonsan Hanok Village from a place to stay into an immersive, activity-driven destination.

The series runs four times from May 30 through June 27 at Village 1. Sessions reflect current wellness trends and include rattan basket weaving (May 30); singing bowls and meditation yoga (June 13); make-your-own soap (June 20); and MBTI perfume-making (June 27). Each workshop focuses on participatory crafts, mindfulness, and scent-based activities designed to ease everyday stress and support emotional balance.

Each session accepts up to 20 participants on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration is free and can be completed online via QR code up to two days before each session.

Applicants must have at least 100 followers on a personal social media account—Instagram, a blog, or Facebook—and agree to post one review of their experience afterward. Organizers say this helps share real participant stories and spread the word about Nonsan Hanok Village’s wellness offerings.

Ji Jin-ho, CEO of the Nonsan Cultural Tourism Foundation, said, “We hope Nonsan Hanok Village becomes a wellness hub where visitors can rest and recover from the stresses of daily life. We will continue to offer a variety of hands-on programs that showcase the charm of hanok spaces.”
