MyRealTrip has teamed up with Air New Zealand for a joint campaign inviting travelers to experience New Zealand’s autumn and winter—seasons that are the reverse of Korea’s. The month-by-month campaign runs through July 16.
In May, New Zealand is in full autumn, with crisp, cool days perfect for outdoor adventures. In Queenstown on the South Island, thrill-seekers flock to bungee jumping, jet-boat rides and Milford Sound cruises. Around Auckland on the North Island, popular short-trip options for Korean visitors include tours of Hobbiton (the Lord of the Rings filming site), exploring the Waitomo glowworm caves, and day trips to Waiheke Island.
From June, winter settles in. Ski fields near Queenstown—like The Remarkables and Cardrona—offer skiing and snowboarding against classic Southern Hemisphere snowy backdrops. In Rotorua, geothermal activity powers soothing hot-spring experiences. Milford Sound, meanwhile, becomes especially dramatic in winter, with snow-dusted peaks tumbling down to the fjord cliffs.
During the campaign, MyRealTrip will provide discount coupons for New Zealand tours and tickets, and Air New Zealand will hold free-ticket giveaways once in May and once in June.
As a campaign partner, Air New Zealand does not add fuel surcharges to fares departing Korea. The airline flies daily to New Zealand from six Asian hubs—Tokyo, Hong Kong, Taipei, Shanghai, Singapore and Denpasar—and offers free stopovers at connecting cities, making it easy to combine a New Zealand trip with other major Asian destinations.
