Bali or Komodo? Discover the Ultimate Summer Family Getaway

Daniel Kim Views

Ayana Bali, the island’s largest integrated resort, and Ayana Komodo Waeciku Beach are rolling out family-friendly programs for the summer holiday season.

Designed so families can experience two very different sides of Indonesia, the offerings blend ocean adventures, nature exploration, and laid-back resort time into one easy getaway.

Perched on the cliffs of Jimbaran Bay, Ayana Bali presents a family-focused package called Connected Family Stay, built around the resort’s expansive grounds, smart layout, and kid-friendly facilities.

The package includes connecting rooms that give parents and kids their own private spaces, poolside lunches the whole family can enjoy, and thalassotherapy sessions tailored for parents. Guests also receive resort credits and discounts on spa treatments and dining.

Ayana Bali runs immersive programs for kids too. Through Guidepost Montessori and the Ayana Green Camp, children get hands-on, nature-based learning and exploration. Families can also relax across the resort’s offerings—including Ayana Spa with 53 treatment rooms, 14 pools, and a private beach.

Ayana Komodo Waeciku Beach, set amid some of Indonesia’s most dramatic natural scenery, is offering a School Holiday package that mixes adventure, relaxation, and luxury. Guests can take glass-bottom boat trips to see Komodo’s marine life up close, and suite guests get access to kayaks, paddleboards, and snorkeling sessions. The resort also extends spa and select dining discounts.

At the Komodo property, visitors can join marine conservation efforts led by experts, enjoy romantic dinners on private decks, indulge in local-inspired spa treatments, and join ocean-view yoga classes. Guided tours to the Komodo dragon habitat and the separately operated Ayana Cruise are also available.

The program requires a minimum three-night stay. All packages include breakfast and round-trip airport pickup and drop-off.

JW Marriott Cam Ranh Resort & Spa offers a distinct kind of getaway where turquoise waters, striking architecture, and a relaxed pace come together for a memorable retreat.

The resort’s signature villa collection sits at its center, offering private spaces that combine calm and sophistication. Options range from cozy one-bedroom villas for couples to three- and four-bedroom oceanfront villas with private pools—each designed for uninterrupted rest.

Notably, the Villa Boaji package promises an even more leisurely stay in one-bedroom villas with garden or ocean views.

Private in-villa breakfasts and thoughtfully curated amenities make each morning feel special. With golden sunlight and the sound of waves as a backdrop, guests can savor a peaceful, present-focused start to the day.

The resort’s dining highlights the flavors of the sea alongside global cuisine, using the freshest daily seafood to showcase natural taste and quality.

JW Garden supplies organic herbs and vegetables harvested on-site, bringing freshness and balance to every menu. Each dish is crafted to reflect Cam Ranh’s culture, flavors, and local character.

Travelers interested in creative experiences and local culture can spend meaningful time in the pottery studio.

Inspired by the heritage of the Cham community, the studio hosts pottery-making and ceramic-painting workshops led by local artisans. Finished pieces become more than souvenirs—they’re tactile memories of the place and the people.

Spa by JW offers tailored wellness programs designed to restore balance to body, mind, and spirit. The tranquil setting is perfect for couples seeking quiet rejuvenation, with treatments and wellness sessions focused on replenishment and relaxation.

After exploring Nha Trang and nearby attractions, guests can unwind at the spa and sink into a relaxed summer mood that soothes both body and mind.

With sweeping coastal beauty, art, culture, and understated sophistication, JW Marriott Cam Ranh Bay Resort & Spa is a rare place where time seems to slow down.
