Hankook Tire & Technology said March 17 that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on March 16 with used-car marketplace Heydealer at Heydealer TechBay in Seo‑gu, Incheon, to supply tires and improve tire quality in used-car reconditioning.
The MOU aims to establish tires — a key factor in vehicle performance and safety — as a core used‑car quality standard and to create a coordinated tire-supply system to support higher-quality used vehicles.
Under the agreement, vehicles at Heydealer TechBay that require tire replacement during reconditioning will be fitted with Hankook’s main lines, including iON, the world’s first full‑lineup EV-only tire brand; Ventus, the company’s flagship performance line; and Dynapro, its SUV-focused line.
Hankook plans to work with Heydealer across the reconditioning process — establishing Hankook mounting standards and other criteria — to help build a production flow that yields high-quality used cars consumers can trust.
