Iveco Korea said on March 23 that it will supply its Daily van to PELS, the operator of a mobile pet examination service. This is the second delivery, following an initial shipment in 2025.
Since 2025, PELS has used the vehicles to run “Petting,” an at-home mobile pet screening service. With roughly 15 million pets in South Korea, the company expects demand for the versatile Iveco Daily to grow.
Iveco converts the Daily’s interior into a mobile clinic equipped with diagnostic instruments. A veterinarian rides along and can perform basic physical exams, blood and urine tests, and imaging. Cases requiring more advanced testing or treatment are referred to nearby animal hospitals.
PELS’s mobile exam vehicles are approved by South Korea’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
The Iveco Daily debuted in Korea in 2018. It’s offered in two configurations — van and chassis cab — and is commonly adapted for campers, ambulances, refrigerated/frozen transport, and other special-purpose uses.
The powertrain pairs a 3.0-liter F1C diesel engine with an 8-speed Hi-Matic automatic transmission, producing 180 hp and 430 Nm of torque (about 317 lb-ft).
The cabin is ergonomically designed to reduce fatigue on long drives. Hi-ADAPTIVE seats and AIR-PRO intelligent air suspension deliver improved seating comfort and ride quality, making the Daily comfortable in heavy urban traffic and varied work environments.
Notable safety equipment includes an Automatic Emergency Braking System (AEBS) that activates at low speeds, Proactive Lane Keeping Assist (PLKA), City Brake Pro, and speed-adaptive cruise control.
