An American homeowner went viral after posting a video that shows him using a fleet of drones to guide delivery drivers to his house. According to People and other outlets on the 1st (local time), Tom Betzoge of Linden, California, recently filmed and released footage of drones hovering above his home to direct delivery vehicles.Betzoge said he turned to the drones because drivers frequently couldn’t find his house or pulled into the wrong driveways. He tried road signs and edits to online maps with little success, so he began flying a fleet of drones to mark his property. In the posted video, when a delivery vehicle stops at a neighboring driveway, drones form the words “Wrong driveway. Please back up” in the sky. As the vehicle moves, the drones display arrows and messages such as “Keep going” and “This is it” to point the way. After the driver reaches the correct spot and drops off the package, the drones show smiling faces and a “Thank you” message before disappearing. The clip surpassed 1,000,000 views on social media and prompted mixed reactions. Some commenters wrote, “That must have cost a fortune,” while others said it “looks like flaunting wealth.” Betzoge responded that he operates a drone light-show company.#drone #delivery #text Yonhap News TV — Inquiries and tips: KakaoTalk/Line jebo23 Lee Jun-heum (humi@yna.co.kr)
