The Cadillac Formula 1 (F1) team has unveiled the livery of its inaugural race car, marking a significant milestone ahead of its 2026 season debut.
This reveal represents a crucial step for General Motors and Cadillac as they enter the world’s most prestigious motorsport arena. As F1’s 11th team and America’s new representative, Cadillac has made a bold statement, capturing the attention of global racing enthusiasts.
The livery made its grand debut on February 9 during a Super Bowl commercial, reaching an estimated audience of over 130 million viewers worldwide. Following the broadcast, a life-sized replica was showcased in New York’s Times Square, drawing crowds of excited fans.
The race car features a striking dual-color livery, transitioning from black to white. This design creates an illusion of motion even when stationary, while the gradient incorporates Cadillac’s iconic chevron emblem, reinforcing the brand’s identity.
Cadillac’s F1 contender has already hit the track, completing its initial shakedown at Silverstone on January 16, followed by further testing in Barcelona. The team is set to participate in the official preseason test in Bahrain before heading to Melbourne for its historic debut.
At the Australian Grand Prix, scheduled for March 6-8, drivers Sergio Pérez and Valtteri Bottas will take the wheel of the first F1 car produced by an American automaker. This event marks the culmination of Cadillac’s arduous journey to join the F1 grid and sets the stage for years of fierce competition ahead.
