BMW’s next-generation iX3 electric SUV has exceeded a 600 km (about 373 miles) single‑charge range under the Ministry of Environment’s certification standard.

On March 26, the Ministry of Environment’s vehicle emissions and noise certification system listed the iX3 50 xDrive’s combined single‑charge range at 615 km (about 382 miles) in its new certification. Under city, ambient‑temperature conditions, the range is reported at up to 648 km (about 403 miles).

A Ministry certification above 600 km is unusually high for vehicles sold in South Korea. Clearing the 600 km threshold addresses one of the biggest drawbacks of electric vehicles—range anxiety. On a nonstop drive from Seoul to Busan, the iX3 would still have roughly 200 km (about 124 miles) of range remaining.

The iX3 generated strong demand even before its launch: preorders topped 2,000 within three days. BMW has equipped the model with numerous advanced features, including four “super brains” and the Panoramic iDrive—both headline technologies for the production model.

Pricing is set at ₩86,900,000 (≈ $65,175 USD) for the New BMW iX3 50 xDrive M Sport and ₩91,900,000 (≈ $68,925 USD) for the New BMW iX3 50 xDrive M Sport Pro. BMW plans an official domestic launch in the third quarter, with customer deliveries to follow sequentially.
