EV3, EV6, EV9 and PV5: Full-lineup Refinement Recognized
Electrification Strategy Pays Off Across PBV, SUV and Entry Segments

Kia reinforced its global electrification credentials after TopGear, the U.K.’s influential automotive outlet, named the company Best Manufacturer at the TopGear EV Awards.
On April 1 (local time), Kia announced it had taken the Best Manufacturer honor at the 2026 TopGear.com EV Awards. Launched in 2020, the awards are now in their seventh year and recognize the models and brands leading the electric-vehicle market. The Best Manufacturer category was introduced this year to acknowledge automakers driving the shift to electrification.
The award recognizes both the product strengths and the breadth of Kia’s EV lineup. Judges highlighted consistent refinement across diverse models — from core electric SUVs such as the EV3, EV6 and EV9 to the PV5, a purpose-built vehicle (PBV) aimed at commercial use.
TopGear deputy editor Oli Q said, “From the EV3 to the large EV9, via the EV6 and the PV5, Kia’s electric range shows a consistent level of refinement. The company has built a broad lineup that spans entry models to high-performance variants, backed by reliable range, balanced performance and comfortable ride quality.”
Kia has strengthened its position in Europe after the EV3 won Best EV Crossover at the 2025 TopGear EV Awards. Adding Best Manufacturer this year further underlines the brand’s growing stature on the continent.
Notably, the PV5 PBV was named 2026 International Van of the Year and also took TopGear’s Family Car of the Year award, cementing its role as a central pillar of Kia’s electrification strategy across both commercial and passenger segments.
A Kia spokesperson said, “We’ve offered a wide range of electric vehicles to meet European demand. We will use this award as momentum to continue improving our EV product quality and customer satisfaction.”
