Volkswagen has revealed a facelifted version of its budget-focused Taigun SUV.
The update centers on the front end, with redesigned headlights, bumper and grille. Higher trims add a full-width light bar and an illuminated badge for a cleaner, more contemporary look.
The GT trim emphasizes blacked-out details to preserve a sportier character.

Inside, changes are subtle and focused on materials and trim rather than a major redesign.
The base model retains an analog instrument cluster paired with a small information display. Higher-spec versions are fitted with a digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch touchscreen.
Panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats and automatic climate control remain available as key convenience features.
1.0 and 1.5 TSI carry over

The Taigun keeps the familiar TSI petrol engines:

The key mechanical change is to the transmissions. The 1.0 TSI replaces the previous 6-speed automatic with a new 8-speed automatic, while the higher-output 1.5 TSI is paired with a 7-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission.

The Taigun is manufactured in India and will be offered in select global markets.
Volkswagen estimates Indian pricing at ₹10.99–19.19 lakh (about ₹1,099,000–₹1,919,000), roughly ₩18–32 million (approximately $13,500–$24,000). The Taigun will compete locally in the subcompact 4-meter SUV segment against models such as the Hyundai Venue and Kia Sonet.
