KTX Train Breakdown: What Happened During the 2026 Journey from Busan to Seoul?

This morning (the 10th) at about 8:30 a.m., a KTX high-speed train bound from Busan to Seoul stalled between Daejeon Station and the Daejeon Marshalling Yard after a mechanical failure.

Korea Railroad Corporation (Korail) moved the disabled train to Daejeon Station and transferred 906 passengers to a substitute train.

Passengers were held on board for more than an hour, and six other regular services were delayed.

Korail is investigating the cause of the malfunction.
